11/14/2019 · Affinity Affects Weapon Stats. Building weapon affinity will affect weapon stats like accuracy, reloading speed, and even firing speed. It won’t be a sudden jump in stats, but rather a gradual increase the more the weapon is used.
4/4/2010 · Little late I know, but there absolutely IS a familiarity mechanic in both the sp and online. The more you use a specific weapon the better the Damage, Accuracy and Reload will get. Not all specs will max out, as the poster above stated, once your reload bar is all the way full your as familiar with that weapon as you can get. Hope this helps put. P.S.

Familiarity is only shown in the weapon compendium. It is not displayed on the weapon wheel. The Reload bar on the weapon wheel provides a clue to a weapons Familiarity, however.

I think the dead eye drains slower and the reload is faster, and critical damage becomes greater. On the stats bars of your gun there is a grey area that goes beyond the white, which represents the max damage – I believe that is a variable that is more likely to trigger once you max your familiarity .
